Privacy and Cookie Statement

Studio Sa’qia respects your privacy and will process your personal data in a secure and careful manner, in accordance with Belgian and European regulations regarding the protection of privacy.

This statement explains what personal data Studio Sa’qia processes, for what purpose, how Studio Sa’qia then handles this data and how long this data is stored. You are advised to read this privacy statement carefully.

The controller for the processing of your personal data is JENSA VOF, under which Studio Sa’qia provides services, with registered office at 3830 Wellen, Zangstraat 22, Belgium and BE 0798.177.861.

Personal data
Personal data means: all data that can provide information about identified or identifiable natural persons. Studio Sa’qia has no intention to process personal data of minors. However, Studio Sa’qia cannot always check this. If personal data is collected from minors, reasonable consent from the parent(s) or guardian(s) is required for modification, deletion or other processing of personal data. If you are convinced that Studio Sa’qia has collected personal data about minors without permission, please contact Studio Sa’qia. The data will then be deleted.

Personal data, basis and purposes
In the first place, personal data is processed in the context of the activities of Studio Sa’qia. The personal data is then used, among other things, to be able to offer you specified offers of the services of Studio Sa’qia. In addition, your personal data will be processed for invoicing and accounting.

The personal data that Studio Sa’qia (may) process are:

  • First and last name
  • Address details and, if the invoice address is different, (also) the invoice address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Payment details
  • Company details (including company number/Chamber of Commerce number and VAT number)
  • Social media accounts
  • Other personal data that you actively provide to Studio Sa’qia

Studio Sa’qia processes this data for the following purposes:

  • To be able to address or write to you correctly with Mr. or Mrs. and your name
  • For sending the offer of Studio Sa’qia
  • To be able to call or e-mail you if this is necessary to be able to perform the services of Studio Sa’qia
  • To be able to execute the agreement you have entered into with Studio Sa’qia
  • To be able to handle your payment
  • To keep you informed about changes to services
  • If Studio Sa’qia is legally obliged to do so, such as data that Studio Sa’qia needs for its administration, invoicing, accounting and tax return

Studio Sa’qia processes your data on the basis of the consent you have given, on the basis of an agreement you have concluded with Studio Sa’qia, if this is necessary to represent the legitimate interests of Studio Sa’qia or on the basis of a legal obligation. Personal data will not be processed in a manner that is incompatible with the purposes for which it was obtained.

Retention period personal data
The personal data that Studio Sa’qia processes will not be kept longer than necessary to realize the aforementioned purposes for which the personal data is collected. Personal data is kept until the legal retention period (12 months), unless otherwise necessary. For invoices and financial administration, a retention period of 7 years applies for the benefit of the statutory administrative obligation of the Tax Authorities. After this period, the data will be deleted or anonymized. Reviews will be removed as soon as Studio Sa’qia has received a request for removal.

Sharing personal data with third parties
Studio Sa’qia does not share your personal data with third parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations or on the basis of mandatory laws and regulations. These third parties are obliged to maintain confidentiality on the basis of a processor agreement and/or legal obligation.

Studio Sa’qia will never resell personal data to third parties.

Your personal data is (possibly) shared with these third parties:

  • Web hosting/software
  • Payment services and systems
  • Accounting program/accountant
  • Telecommunications
  • Collaborations of Studio Sa’qia, such as copywriters, website builders, photographers, etc.

Automated decision-making
The personal data that Studio Sa’qia works with is always processed by a person. Studio Sa’qia does not take decisions about matters that may have (significant) consequences for individuals, based on automated processing. This concerns decisions that are taken by computer programs and/or computer systems.

Your privacy rights
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • The right to be informed
  • The right of access
  • The right to rectification
  • The right to erase
  • The right to restrict processing
  • The right to data portability
  • The right to object
  • Rights relating to automated decision making and profiling

To make use of these rights, you can send your request to saskia@studiosaqia.com. Studio Sa’qia will assess your request as soon as possible and no later than within 30 days. If Studio Sa’qia cannot comply with your request, it will always let you know why your request has been rejected. Studio Sa’qia is entitled to verify your identity by requesting that you show a valid proof of identity, driver’s license or passport when you submit such a request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and national register number.

Studio Sa’qia also points out the possibility of submitting a complaint to the competent supervisory authority. In Belgium, this is the data protection authority https://www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

Security
Studio Sa’qia takes the protection of your personal data seriously and takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes. The website has an SSL certificate, which means that the data is sent over a secure connection. All systems/programs that Studio Sa’qia works with are secured with a password and, where possible, with two-step verification. Mobile phones and computers are secured with a password. Liability
This privacy statement only relates to personal data that Studio Sa’qia processes for the purposes discussed in this statement. Studio Sa’qia accepts no liability or responsibility for the operation and/or content of websites or services of third parties. This statement is governed by Belgian law. Belgian law applies exclusively in the event of a dispute.

This privacy statement was last modified on July 10, 2023. Studio Sa’qia has the right to change this statement at any time. You will find the most recent version on the Studio Sa’qia website.
